On behalf of the IEEE North Karnataka Subsection (NKSS) and the organizing committee of NKCon-2026, we are pleased to invite you to participate in our flagship conference. NKCon-2026, the premier annual conference of IEEE NKSS, bris together technologists, engineers, scientists, investors, and representatives from NGOs, government, academia, and industry to foster research and innovation.

The fifth edition of NKCon-2026 is scheduled for November 21-22, 2026, and will be hosted by SIET, Vijaypur. The conference aims to promote research and development by providing a platform for the exchange of cutting-edge ideas and advancements in various fields.

North Karnataka Subsection (NKSS)

The IEEE North Karnataka Subsection (IEEE NKS) is a prominent regional branch of the IEEE, serving the technological and professional community in the northern districts of Karnataka, India. Established to foster innovation and collaboration, the subsection promotes IEEE’s mission of advancing technology for humanity. It provides a platform for professionals, academicians, researchers, and students to exchange knowledge and engage in cutting-edge research.

IEEE NKS organizes technical workshops, seminars, conferences, and networking events to encourage skill development and professional growth. It actively supports student branches and encourages participation in IEEE activities, including hackathons and technical contests. The subsection emphasizes industry-academia interaction to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Through its initiatives, IEEE NKS contributes to the growth of engineering and technology in the region, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. It is a vital part of the global IEEE network, inspiring local talent to make a global impact.

SECAB Institute of Engineering & Technology (SIET)

SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology (SECAB), located in Vijaypur, Karnataka, is a premier engineering college established in 2002 under the aegis of the SECAB Society. The institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various engineering disciplines, emphasizing both academic excellence and practical learning.

About Our Conference NKCon-2026

NKCON is the flagship International Conference of the IEEE North Karnataka Sub Section with keynote addresses by reputed academicians and high-quality presentations from the best researchers in and around India. The Conference aims to provide an active platform for research scientists, engineers, and practitioners throughout the world to present their latest research findings, ideas, and applications in the fields of interest that fall under the scope of IEEE. NKCon 2025 will be hosted by SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vijaypur. (SIET) , from November 21 to 22, 2026.

NKCon 2026 invites researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and
students to contribute and collaborate toward building intelligent, sustainable, and connected systems for a transforming world. Also NKCon 2026
contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals by promoting research
in sustainable energy, intelligent infrastructure, digital innovation, healthcare
technologies, and future education systems aligned with SDGs 3, 4, 7, 9, 11,
and 13.

Conference Tracks NKCon-2026

Track 1: Artificial Intelligence & Data-Driven Systems

This track focuses on theoretical advancements and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Analytics across engineering domains. It invites research on intelligent algorithms, explainable AI, generative models, and AI-driven optimization techniques. Applications in smart manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, energy systems, and industrial automation are especially encouraged.

Track 2: Next-Generation Communication & Networking

This track covers emerging communication technologies including 5G Advanced, 6G, Massive MIMO, IoT, and intelligent wireless systems. Topics include network optimization, spectrum management, edge intelligence, and secure communication protocols. Contributions addressing sustainable and high-performance networking solutions for smart cities and connected infrastructures are welcomed.

Track 3: Advanced Electrical Systems & Smart Power Technologies

This track emphasizes innovations in modern power systems, smart grids, renewable energy integration, and intelligent energy management. It includes power electronics, electric vehicles, distributed generation, microgrids, and grid stability analysis. Research integrating AI and IoT for predictive maintenance, energy efficiency, and sustainable electrification is highly encouraged.

Track 4: Cyber-Physical Systems, Robotics & Automation

This track focuses on the integration of computation, communication, and control in intelligent physical systems. Topics include robotics, autonomous systems, embedded systems, digital twins, industrial automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies. Applications in smart manufacturing, intelligent transportation, and human-machine collaboration are particularly relevant.

Track 5: Secure, Cloud & Edge Computing Systems

This track explores secure computing architectures, cloud-native systems, edge and fog computing, and distributed intelligence frameworks. It covers cybersecurity, blockchain technologies, federated learning, and privacy-preserving computation. Research addressing scalable, resilient, and trustworthy computing infrastructures for connected systems is encouraged.

Track 6: Healthcare & Emerging Technologies

This track invites contributions on biomedical engineering, wearable technologies, medical imaging, bio-signal processing, and AI-driven healthcare systems. Emerging technologies such as AR/VR, quantum computing, and neuromorphic systems with societal applications are also included. Solutions improving accessibility, affordability, and quality of healthcare are strongly encouraged.

Track 7: Transforming Engineering Education & Future Learning Systems

This track focuses on innovations in engineering education, including AI-enabled learning systems, virtual laboratories, experiential learning models, and outcome-based education practices. It encourages research on digital pedagogy, industry-academia collaboration, skill development, and curriculum transformation aligned with emerging technologies. Contributions addressing inclusive, accessible, and technology-driven education ecosystems are welcomed.
